Stepping aboard the Icon, there was a shared feeling of complete awe. The ship's grandeur is undeniable, with its vibrant colors and architectural brilliance offering panoramic views that stretch four decks high.

Embark on a journey of excitement and relaxation aboard the Icon of the Seas. With seven sprawling pools, including the largest swim-up bar at sea, guests can bask in the sun or make a splash in the exhilarating waters. Thrill-seekers will revel in the excitement of the ship's water park, featuring the first family raft slide - the tallest freefall waterslide on any cruise ship. Adrenaline junkies can conquer the Flowrider's simulated surfing experience, scale the rock-climbing wall, or test their courage on Crown’s Edge, a thrilling attraction that combines a skywalk with a ropes course, offering breathtaking views of the ocean below.

Each stateroom has ample closet space and suitcases fit neatly under the bed. You also won’t need to bring a charging station; they have every type of port you’ll need in each room category. For added convenience, charging plugs can also be found in most bars and some lounging areas throughout the ship.

When navigating the ship, note that elevators aboard the Icon are divided from aft and forward. Pay attention to which side of the ship your stateroom is located on when exiting elevators. A new concept implemented onboard is the touchpads near the elevators. Simply touch the deck number, and it will inform you which elevator to use; there are no “floor buttons” inside the elevator.
Royal Caribbean’s CocoCay
No cruise aboard the Icon would be complete without a visit to the breathtaking Perfect Day at CocoCay. This private island paradise offers an array of attractions and amenities to delight guests of all ages.
Along with three pristine beaches to choose from, the private island boasts the largest freshwater pool in all of the Bahamas, as well as 13 waterslides that will keep you cooled off and busy. Because this is Royal Caribbean’s private island, most food venues are included, and bars are as well if you’ve purchased a drink package. If you’re looking for a more personal, relaxed experience they now offer the new Coco Beach Club with private over-water cabanas.
Exploring CocoCay is a must but be sure to wear comfortable shoes as there's plenty to see and do. While a trolley service is available for transportation around the island, there may be a short wait, so be sure to plan accordingly. CocoCay truly is a tropical oasis, offering guests the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure against the backdrop of stunning natural beauty.

My experience aboard the Icon was definitely a memorable one.
